Sybil Montet is a French artist and 3D filmmaker. Her work explores the esoteric potentials of emerging technologies and their influence on the collective unconscious, while investigating synchronicities between computation and the living world through forms and fantasies. She develops a fictional and critical ecosystem inspired by science fiction and fantasy, using computer graphics and sculptural techniques, while exploring experimental applications of artificial intelligence.
She is currently working on new film and sculpture commissions for exhibitions in Japan, the United States and South Korea.
After studying fine jewelry at the École Boulle and earning a degree in special effects and video editing at the SAE school in Paris, she taught herself computer graphics and digital sculpture. Between 2016 and 2020, she was part of core.pan, a French-Czech artistic duo. Today, she runs her own creative studio as a freelance art director and 3D animator, collaborating mainly with the fashion and music industries.
